Lent: a time of preparation and renewal

1 oct.
1 min de lecture

Lent is an important period in the Christian liturgical year. It lasts approximately forty days and leads the faithful toward the celebration of Easter, which commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

This period is traditionally marked by prayer, fasting, and sharing. It invites Christians to step back, turn more fully toward God, and pay special attention to others—especially those who are suffering or in need.

Lent also recalls the forty days Jesus spent in the wilderness. It is a time for conversion and inner renewal, during which each person is invited to reflect on their life, their choices, and their relationship with God and their neighbor.

At the end of this spiritual journey come Holy Week and the celebration of Easter, the heart of the Christian faith.
